Received quite frightful shock this morning as Mrs Payne said over breakfast, would I be so good as to take her to decorating shop? Positively had heart attack as Mrs Payne explained I had said would like her to stay, and stands to reason would want her to be comfortable, so would need to make one or two changes to furnishings.
Bound to say took quite some minutes before overcame what must attribute to paralysis of mind through fear, and said slowly this quite alright. Ventured, in horrified optimism, that changes altogether small, I hoped? Was told changes small, certainly. However worst fears realised, as having finished breakfast Mrs Payne said with excitement,
"Now! To find my hammer!".
